  • G110 died

I was buffing out an S4 using the new MF system with my G110 (which worked great). Smelled something burning and then nothing. It's a couple of years old, so no warranty. Anyone got any ideas on if this may be fixable?

Fortunately I have my old Meguiars PC so I could finish. I have a C6 Vette to do tomorrow.....so hopefully the PC keeps on working.

I have a G110v2 you can borrow if you like. You have to come to Covina to pick it up.

Thanks Joe! Hopefully I won't need to make that trip to Covina.

Do you have any experience repairing these things? Are they even repairable?

Hey Bob, Did you find a solution? I just saw this post. Let me know if you still need to borrow a G110v2 if you haven't already borrowed it from Joe. I'm in Buena Park.

            Thanks Jesse!

Fortunately my Meguiars G100 held up and I was able to finish the Vette. It turned out very nice. Now I'm looking for anyone who has repaired these things. I may give Mike Stoops a call to see if there is anything I can do to fix it. Otherwise it's $150 to ADS for a new one.

            Thanks again for the offer!!!

No problem Bob, glad to hear you were able to finish the Vet. Hope you can get your G110 repaired. G100 to the rescue once again. I know it's saved me a couple of times.

I am amazed at how long the g100 lasts. Meguiars definitely has some quality issues with the new model.

I think they got it right though with the latest models of G110v2. We run ours like crazy and have had no problems other one needing a new cord.
