  • PC 7336 Speed Settings?

    I just spent a couple hours searching and can't find an answer: What OPM does each speed setting represent on the PC 7336?

    Operating range is 1= 2500 to 6=6000

    Do I assume the settings are linear and each number represents 700 OPM?

    I saw the comparison sticky and the G100 (same as the 7336?) was NOT linear.

    I am looking at getting into the new MF system and the two products have a specific operating OPM's for each. I don't know what setting to put the machine on to hit those OPM's - can anybody help?

    Thanks in advance!

    Settings for the pc 7336 are the same as the G100. Recommended OPMs for cutting 4800 which is speed 5 and for finishing running at ~3800 OPMs or speed 4.

      not to quibble, but the research i did developed the following range of OPMs:
      setting '1' = 2500
      '2' = 3200
      '3' = 3900
      '4' = 4600
      '5' = 5300
      '6' = 6000

        A 7336 is the same as a 7424 and Meguiars G100. I used to own a 7336 but traded it in for a G100, mostly for the lifetime warranty the G100 carried with it.

        Don't get too hung up on the OPM. Just know that speeds 4-5 are for polishing and speed 3 is good for applying and removing wax. Speed 3 is also the setting to use when cleaning your pad on the fly.

          We're a bit curious as to where you got this information. The 7336 is really the same tool as the 7424, just shipped with some different accessories. That means it's also the same tool as our old G100 (really just a rebranded 7424), and that tool most definitely did not have uniform increases in speed for each successive setting.

            So the speeds in the comparison sticky is what I am looking for?

            Thanks to all for the info.

              when i got my order of the new microfiber system i spent some time searching various (as in, i can't remember them and i didn't make note of them ) websites to make sure i could make the 7336 opm settings come as close as possible to the opm settings in your instructions. i took notes during my search and the speeds mentioned above were what i wrote down from one of the sites.

              as i said "not to quibble" as i use setting 4 with 300 and setting 3 with 301 - just as you recommend.
