  • sundays the day

Ok Gang my first foray into D/A polishing starts sunday.
Heres my plan of attack please let me know what you think. I have a griots polisher with 4 orange polishing pads and 2 red finish pads

    gold class wash
    clay
    gold clash wash
UC spd 5 for correction if needed orange pad(I plan on testing with UP first)
UP spd 5 for correction /orange pad
or if i can UP spd 3 to restore my car/ orange pad
NXt 2.0 on red finish pad spd 2

If this works out well we may do a second car . I plan on washing and claying the car the night before and put in the garage for the next morning polishing session. Any recommendations are appreciated. I have listed all my supllies except for my M/f . OOPs I also have scrath x 2.0 to move to if need be.

    Thanks

No need for the second wash really. Unless it got dirty overnight. A light dust from the garage could be removed with a QD wipe.

Wont need ScratchX, UC is stronger.

As Mat said quick detailer should be enough, especially that you'll be following with UC.

You'll be using LC HydroTech pads, right? What size: 5.5" or 6.5" ?

Griot's DA is a great polisher.

nope I have 4 of the griots orange pads. Which is what they consider a polishing pad. They came with the kit i bought. Just not sure of the cutting power of these pads combined with UC and UP
