Re: Gonna use the DA Polisher for the First time
Good plan. Take your time. Don't be discouraged if it takes a couple of passes.

Make sure to read through D/A Buffing 101 – An Introduction to the G110v2 and similar tools before you get started.

Maybe it would be easier to use the black pad with the polish as step-2 and then apply Tech Wax by hand. Just a thought.

Try cleaning "on the fly": press your pad against cotton towel and turn your polisher on to let the towel absorb the product (don't adjust the speed, just use current setting on your D/A, it's called "on the fly", quick and easy). If you do it every panel/ every other panel it will unclog the pores in your buffing pad.
As said before, slow arm speed for step-1: paint correction with yellow pad, but high machine speed.

If it is a good bit of correction needed, you may want to switch pads at least half way through, to a new clean one, if possible.

If you have heavy oxidation probably Ultimate Compound is gonna be your better choice but a test spot will definitely confirm it.
What machine and what pads are you going to use ?
Thanks guys, I am going to use the yellow pad, then since I only have 1 black pad (and I don't want to mix products) I am going to put on the polish by hand and then wax w/ the black finishing pad.

Be careful, that machine is addicting the first time you use it.
But yeah, remember to only go about 1-2 inches per second when doing your passes for heavy correction. This will allow the pad and product time to do remove the defects.
What machine and pads are you using?

Gonna use the DA Polisher for the First time
This weekend on my truck. I have some oxidation that I really want to see what it does before I move onto some of my more nicer cars. From what I've read so far this is gonna be my game plan:
1. Wash
2. clean paint w/ clay bar
3. then try to correct paint w/ either Swirl X or Ultimate compound (it's bad Oxidation so I haven't decided which one I"m gonna use yet, gonna do a test spot w/ each and see what happens)
4. Polish w/ Deep Crystal Polish
5. Wax - NXT 2.0
Any suggestions?
