Removed the imperfections, now what?

Ok, let's say you removed the imperfections on your paint, and polished and waxed your car as well. Now, in the future, if you get minor scratches and swirls on your paint, do you have to do the prep/clean/polish/wax steps again? Or can you use M07 with the black finishing pad (I am not sure how much cutting it will do) to correct those minor defects?

Let's say, I am using these to get the paint perfect via G110v2:

1 - Wash
2 - Clay
3 - Clean - SwirlX
4 - Polish - M07
5 - Wax - M21

#7 wont do anything for swirls. Would have to go back to SwirlX, #205, etc. Then polish if wanted, and wax.

Thanks, Murr1525. Now, it makes sense, M07 is a PURE POLISH.
