    Will a Dual Action Polisher remove the scratches after wet sanding a clear coat. I just had my truck painted and I am thinking about wet sanding the complete truck to improve shine.What products will I neew and pads? Any advice will help thanks.

    Generally speaking - no. To effectively remove sanding marks, at least with repeatable and consistent results, you would normally make use of a rotary buffer, a wool cutting pad and a compound like M105. The speed, heat and friction of the rotary just can't be matched by the D/A for sanding mark removal.


    By the way, what level of experience do you have with wet sanding? What grit paper were you planning on using? Are you thinking about hand sanding or D/A sanding? Do you know how much clear the body shop sprayed so you can do this safely to begin with?

      I have spot-sanded and removed the marks by DA without issue, but I've never attempted to do an entire car that has been wetsanded.
