  • Velcro on W8207

I've used this pad for my booth and roof, washed it, used it once more, and today I realized it's not sticking any longer to my Makita DA.

    Any thoughts as to why?

    Cheers

We know this is an old thread and apologize for not seeing it earlier.

What backing plate are you using with the pad? How old it is? Your issue might be a compatibility issue between the type of hook & loop materials on the two pieces.

It was originally used with Makita sander/DA on a 125mm plate.

My G220 landed with 5" plate, now I've purchased a 6" (both made by megs).

The pad, backing plates and G220 are not more then 2 months old.

Same situation with both backing plates, it simply doesn't hold on.

The pad was machine washed with other pads, no problems.

            Strange, isn't it?!

So you're using our backing plates and you have several of our pads, all treated the same way, but only ONE is having this issue? We would suggest you contact Meguiar's Australia about a replacement then. http://www.meguiars.com.au/
