  • Soft Buff vs. Diamond Solo finsihing pad

I'm looking to get a finishing pad to use with M80 or M205 to remove hologram swirls etc.

What is the difference between the Soft Buff 7" black foam finishing pad and the Diamond Solo 7" foam finishing pad?

Do they both attach with velcro? What half of the velcro is on the pad? My backing plate has the scratchy hook half.

It sounds like your backing plate is pretty standard then as most all pads on the market today have the softer, fluffier part of the hook and loop on them. Technically, the backing plate has the hook and the pads have the loop.

The foam construction between these two pads is identical, as is diameter and thickness. Since the So1o pad has the diamond cut to the face it will be less aggressive than the W9207 pad.
