  • Porter Cable 7424XP in Canada

    Hi,

I am from Quebec Canada, and i'm looking to buy a Porter Cable 7424XP. I would like to know where would be the best/chepest place to get it. I've been to my local Canadian tire but no sucess there!

I would also like to know if there's any combo avalaible in the stores, I would like to get some m105 and m205 with pads.

    Thanks!

Canadian Tire usually sells them, you might want to try another Canadian Tire location if you are in a rush. You can also order from AutoGeek.net. It will likely be cheaper, but it may take a couple weeks to get your product. My last AutoGeek order took exactly 14 days.

BTW, I'm in the process of setting up a Meguiar's online specialty store, that caters to Canadians. I'm a couple of weeks away from getting the website finalized. You can PM me if you want more info.

    Bill

Dgeneration X.....check out www eshine.ca for that 7424XP...they also have #105 & #205 in stock currently, free shipping over $150.00. Personally, I've had excellent service from them....Al

EShine is very good. Check out their Swirl Buster kit - a PC7424XP with backing plate and your choice of three Lake Country pads for $200. If you need any advice on what products, pads, etc. to you send Chris an e-mail and he'll get back to you within a day or so.
Anybody can make a car look good with the right products.

Just to let you all know AutoGeek is having a Memorial Day 15% weekend sale. Today is the last day. Free shipping on orders over $75 to the United States only.

Shipping to Canana on a polishing starter kit (G110V2 polisher, pads, polish) is about $50, with a 15% savings, this will basically cover the shipping costs. If you don't mind waiting a couple weeks, this is likely your best option, if it's Meguiar's products you want.

I'm still a few weeks from having my Canadian Meguiar's specialty store up and running. I'll do my best to offer attractive pricing, shipping and quality service to Canadians.

eShine is an attractive option for Canadian's as well, but their selection of Meguiar's products is limited.

Well Bill with no Megs reps in weastern Canada any more I don't think it will be that easy to get up and running. Support for Megs in Canada is pretty much nill. The Canadian site even sent me a US cataloge. eShine is the only alternative (Canadian one at least) I've found worth while using. The other guys in Edmonton(WS) are way too exspensive and their products are old old stock. I hope you can get somthing going. It would be great to be able to get product locally. I just paid 55 bucks for a bottle of M205. I needed it they had it. So I paid. Sign me up when your up and running

That's interesting. I just received a catalog from Meguiar's a couple of weeks ago. I'll read you an excerpt from the letter they sent along with it.

"Enlcosed you will find the literature you requested. We are currently in the process of updating our Canadian catalog with new and exciting elements. At this time we have included our US catalog."

I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I appreciate the support Rob. I'll ride a chuck wagon to the States and haul back Meguiar's products, if I have to.

eShine, seems to be a great company. I personally haven't ordered from them, but their site is extremely well put together. The feedback from members of this forum is always positive. We could work together though site links etc, product buys etc. A win for all Canadians.

My goal is to offer service comparable to Rick from ADS. I know that's a HUGE statement, it's taken him years to earn his reputation and it's well deserved. I personally have a Business Diploma (Marketing) from N.A.I.T. along with an unstoppable drive. There is a huge gap in the Canadian marketplace. I aim to fill it.

I plan on contacting Michael Stoops in the near future to discuss the proper manner of addressing this topic (feel free to delete this post if it's in violation of forum rules). First and foremost I'm here because I love Meguiar's products. My passion for automobiles, detailing and Meguiar's products brought me down this road. Who knows where it will lead.
