I'm using 105 and a Meg's polishing pad on my PC 7424 at speed 4-5 but it is hardly making a difference. I had to go over an area 4 times to see any difference. Any suggestions?

Re: Saturn paint is as hard as a rock.
How much pressure are you using on the pad, how large of an area are you working, and how slowly are you moving the tool over the paint?
Pressure should be moderate to heavy, but no so much that you stop the pad from rotating. Area size should be no more than roughly the size of a Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel, or about 2' x 2' - certainly no more for serious defect removal. Speed across the paint should be quite slow, really taking your time. As for the speed setting on the tool itself, skip speed 4 if the paint is really hard and stick with a full 5 on the dial.Michael Stoops

It's working!!! Slowly but surely. I have a speed setting 6 but I don't want to touch that do I?
Also, as I was working I was thinking. Normally, I see it is suggested to follow up 105 with 205 but since the paint seems to be so hard is it even worth using the 205 since it probably won't affect the paint at all? I just don't want to waste product if it is acceptable to go to the polishing and LSP step.
Thanks again,
Andy

Speed 6 is not recommended much in the same manner Meguiars does not recommend using cutting pads with a DA. In inexperienced hands, one might inflict some minor damage such as marring to the paint. Speed 6 also has the nasty property of shortening the life of your pads.
