  • Question about Mixing Wax with Cleaner

Not asking if Meguiars would recommend it, but technically speaking, if I applied some Meguiars Polish or a light compound to the pad, then added some liquid wax, would I be creating my own version of a cleaner wax?

I doubt it. I think the formulation is a bit more complex than that. You can try it if you wish, but I don't think anybody on here would recommend it.

I once mixed scratch-X and DC2 to mimic #80, worked like a charm. You might want to do a test spot first...

That's quite a bit different than trying to blend a cleaner and a wax - at least both of the products you used are intended to be worked and then wiped off while still wet. The OP wants to blend two completely different kinds of products, and he's probably going to run into some performance issues because of it.

Ok I've been referred to as an "OP" on here before, what is an "OP"? I need to know if I'm being insulted or not!

Anyways, good point Mike, the cleaner is meant to be wiped off wet and the wax is supposed to dry first so mixing the two together might not be a good idea.
