This is an older thread, but I noticed 0.5rpm. This in inaccurate. It should be more like 60 rpm... or 1 revolution per second.
Too much product is a simply a waste of product and it will reduce cutting ability. Amount of product doesn't have much influence on speed at least that's not where the focus should be. Simply prime a dry pad and add a few spots of product per section pass.
