Do I need a diff. backing plate for the new type pads? will these pads work on the g110. Thanks

I belive the onle difference between the new backing plate and the older one is the Easy centering thing. but you can use the new pads on the old plate.Ryan's Auto Detailing, S.A

You can use our 7" Soft Buff 2.0 pads with an older backing plate, but they were designed for use with our W68DA plate. That backing plate not only fits perfectly into the recess on the back of the pad but it also flexes toward the outer edges which lets the pad follow body contours while getting good support behind it, which is important for consistent cut on these areas.Michael Stoops

Problem im having is the pad wants to chatter as im using it on the 7.0 which is the larger ones? I have the smaller ones which came with the machine and they dont seem to givee me the same problem. Maybe im doin somethin wrong. Thanks

7'' pads tends to wobble a little because of their size. Which speed setting are you using?Ryan's Auto Detailing, S.A

It is the G110 about 2 yrs. old. I have the 2.0 pads 7" Having the problem when using the ultimate compound, scratch x , M80 83. Speed at 5. maybe wrong backing plate? Using original plate that came with machine. Thnks
