3" backing plate

Where can I buy the 3" backing plate for the new 4" pads?? I've looked everywhere and I can't seem to find anyone that's actually selling it. I've been looking for the Meguiar's one, but I'm not opposed to buying a different brand as long as it works.

Did you buy the 3" rotary backing plate with the DA adapter? That's all I could find. I didn't see a 3'' backing plate specifically for a DA.

You can buy the W63 three inch rotary backing plate and a DA adapter (W63) that will allow you to use the BP with both polishers.

I also found the Meguiar's Professional 3" Backing Plate (S3BP), but I'm not clear if this intended specifically for DA use.

I haven't bought one yet, but I think the S3BP is for the DA.

I plan to go with the W63 and I already have the adapter, which costs like $3.

I want the flexibility to use any backing plate I own with either my rotary or DA polishers.

You can buy the W63 three inch rotary backing plate and a DA adapter (W63) that will allow you to use the BP with both polishers.

This will give you a backing plate for both rotary and D/A use, although you will end up with a bit of an extension between the tool and pad. Not an issue, really, just something to be aware of.

I also found the Meguiar's Professional 3" Backing Plate (S3BP), but I'm not clear if this intended specifically for DA use.

This is the 3" backing plate of choice. It comes with several adapters so it can be used with various manufacturers pneumatic D/A tools as well as the G110v2/G110/Porter Cable/etc. Just select the correct adapter and use the supplied washer between the backing plate and the adapter, and tighten it down. Then simply mount it onto your D/A of choice.
