  • Question about G110v2

I just purchased a G110v2 My question is about the "D" handle How tight are the bolts supposed to be tightened that hold the "D" handle in place? And also is the handle supposed to rotate 90degrees or are the bolts supposed to be tightened to to keep the handle in a fixed position? I tightened the bolts really snug but as I rotate the "D" handle,it backs the bolts back out to the point that I can unscrew them by hand. I know it may seem like a dumb question, but Ive never used a Megs polisher I had a PC 7424 and it used a fixed, side handle

    Re: Question about G110v2

A lot of people just remove the D handle and keep one hand on top of the polisher. If you haven't tried that, give it a shot. If you want to keep your D handle, I'm afraid someone else is going to have to chime in.

      Re: Question about G110v2

i have exactly the fix for you !!

although, i have revurted to using the g110 without the handle, as the handle constantly causes me to put too much pressure and make the pad stop spinning or it makes me not keep the pad flat..however when i did used to use the handle, i had the same problem..you make the bolts really tight but as you move the handle, the bolts loosen up...here is the solution i found..get some blue loctite, put a dab on each bolt and tighten them down good..let the loctite sit and dry for about 20-30 minutes...then you can come back and you'll notice that the handle moves, but the bolts stay in place !

I thought of using the blue loctite The red is a no no unless you never plan on removing the bolts So the handle is supposed to be in a fixed, upright position, correct?

the red one can be used, and removed but with brutal force

hahaha but seriously..i used blue loctite and the bolts NEVER moved.

          and the handle moved freely

Agree with others. Mine came without a handle in the case so they sent me a new one, but I dont like the handle so oh well it is much easier just to set your hand on top of the buffer

Sounds like a very nice polisher! This may have been answered in another post but i haven't managed to find the answer im looking for...
What is the difference between say the G110, G110v2 and the G220?! Im nearly about to purchase a G220 but noticed the G110v2 is the latest out!?

                Re: Question about G110v2

G110 and G220 are the same machine, except the voltage.
The G110v2 is another new/improved machine that Meguiar's recently introduced.

Here is a link on the specs of it.

Cool cool no worries mate! They all seem like pretty good machines if you ask me! Im in Australia and i can't get the G110v2 through my suppliers, unless of course i buy it direct from Meguiar's online! I can't wait to use one and they all seem fairly easy to use and not a dangerous machine. Sounds like you would have to be doing something very very wrong to harm or burn the paint with these!
                  Simple suits me lol
