  • New DA Polisher

I got a new V2 DA polisher for Christmas and am blown away with the results. I have already used it on 3 of my vehicles and could not be happier with it. I am not a detailer and have never used a machine before, but thanks to what I have learned here, I found it to be very easy to use.

To be safe, I did my initial work on a 1998 tan Crown Victoria that was was in terrible shape. I did a first pass with M105 on a yellow Meguiars pad (speed 4), followed by M205 on a black pad (speed 4). I finished off with NXT 2.0 wax on the black pad (speed 2). I can only say that I hate I did not take before pictures, the results were miraculous. The car hasn't looked that good since it was new.

I followed almost the same routine on a 1997 black Ford Ranger. It too was in terrible shape; the black paint looked like a matte finish dark grey. As I said, I followed the same approach as my first job, the only difference was that I finished with M26 wax. Again, the results were incredible.

The last job was the easiest, I did a 2008 silver Taurus. In this case, I have been diligent in caring for the car, so it was in excellent shape and needed no correction. For this one, I used M07 with a black pad (speed 2) and followed with NXT 2.0 (speed 2).

Again, thanks to everything I've learned here, my first experience with the DA couldn't have gone better. My gratitude goes out to those who contribute to this forum.

I just wanted to take a moment to do more than lurk here and share this success; I need to get even braver and figure out how to post pictures.

Thanks for the write up, and we're thrilled to hear you're having so much success so quickly!

But you just know the rest of the members here are going to all over your case for not having pictures!!!!

Very funny, as I am reading this, I am also watching Fight Club!!
There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?
