Re: Why not speed 6 ?
yeah i see what your saying..i just have no problem with speed 6..the g110v2 is really easy to hold at that speed...i think the faster you go the smoother it becomes lol...i just want to know if its an issue with the machine not lasting long because of it or the pads not being able to handle the speed ? which wouldnt make much sense to me since going from 5-6 isnt that big a difference, and people use the soft buff 2.0 pads with rotarys..so maybe its just a marketing thing ? hopefully someone from meguiars will see this thread soon and give me the facts =]

Re: Why not speed 6 ?
I think it's a marketing thing. It's not as attractive of a feature if you tell the customer to use "full speed". Sort of leaves you with no where to go.

Why not speed 6 ?
I know meguiars recommends speed 3-5 for paint correction on the g110, but why not speed 6 ? i know this might be a stupid question, but im curious...
whats really so bad about going from speed 5 and just moving up 1 bump to speed 6 ? i understand if its a precaution for someone who wants to buy a DA but doesnt have to much experience with it, and perhaps speed 6 could give too much cut ? im not really sure, hopefully somebody can answer this for me...the paint on my moms car is rather on the hard side and it requires speed 6 on the DA to get good cutting action..speed 5 will get the job done as well, even speed 4, but speed 6 just speeds things up so much better, and i have a good feel for the machine and at 6 its very managable and i am very comfortable with that speed..is it something to do with the machine wearing down faster ? the pads tearing ? input is appreciated...
oh and happy new year everyone !Tags: None
