Any use for PC #54745 White Foam Pads

I have a few of each of the Meguiar's Soft Buff 2.0 pads for my PC that are great. I also have 3 or 4 unopened PC #54745 original equipment type white foam pads that I bought before I knew any better. Products I use with the PC are Ultimate Compound, SwirlX, and NXT 2.0 Liquid Wax or Gold Class Liquid Wax depending on the vehicle and season. With this lineup of products, do the PC pads really fit into my system or should I just get rid of them?

id get a lake country orange light cutting pad for the compound, use the white pad for swirl-x, and get a yellow jewelers pad for the next/gold class.

Besides the fact that you didn't help him answer the question at all...
It's a toss up. Some people say scrap em and just use other pads, while others have had good results using them. You might be able to use them to apply wax, or you could test a small spot with UC and SwirlX and see how it works out for you.

Thanks Kyle. I need to clean, polish, and wax my truck before winter hits so it'll give me a chance to give them a try again.

No problem. Let us know how your experience goes with each product on the PC pad if you can. I've seen you can get extra PC pads for for as little $4.99 each, which could be a good deal if they work well.

I have used the foam pads with my PC also and didn't notice any problems. However, if someone can suggest which specific pads I should use for SwirlX, Polish, and wax it would be appreciated. I was under the assumption that these pads were made for polishing paint etc.

For SwirlX and other paint cleaners (Ultimate Compound, M80 Speed Glaze, etc) you would want a polishing pad like Meguiar's W8207 Soft Buff 2.0. For pure polishes (Deep Crystal Polish, M07 Show Car Glaze, etc) and waxes you would want a finishing pad like Meguiar's W9207 Soft Buff 2.0 - just make sure to use separate pads for the polish and wax!
