    Re: G110 support after warranty?

    Thanks for the info, Judd.
I guess it makes sense that buying an 8-gauge ext cord isn't going to make much difference if my house is only wired for 14 gauge. (Those #'s are just examples, but I understand the concept that you suggest ).

Heres some thought. Some houses are wired with 14 gauge which is good for 15 amps, others have 12 gauge which is good for 20 amps. Check your breaker box, if the circuit you are using the G110 has a 15 amp breaker, you are probably using a #14 wire. Running a #12 extension cord is like using a 1" pipe to feed a 3" pipe. The resistance has already been put in place.

And voltage drop, 25 -50 feet is not that big of a deal. I can tell you I have at least a 100 foot run from my panel, to my garage outlet. That includes up and down, turns etc. Another 25 -50 feet is not an issue. Voltage drop is usually more of an issue in large run of 100,200,300 feet such as parking lot lights etc.

I am not an electrician, but my BIL is and I have a bit of experience in wiring, panels, etc
Your the man. Perfectly explained. I just like shotguns.
