Can the W9006 Soft Buff pad be washed in a washing machine like a soft buff 2.0? If not, what's the best way to clean it?

    Thanks.

No. If anything, put a little Dawn on the surface, rub it in, then rinse and squeeze out by hand.

Meguiars doesn't recommend washing their older Soft Buff pads.

I try to adhere to that advice, but just recently I hand washed my W9006 pad with Shout spray-on stain remover in the kitchen sink. I was careful not to wring & twist the pad, as I would mainly push it down into the water until the dirt came out.

I tried this with more detergent and clean water until the pad looked clean. I then rinsed the pad in more clean water with a few ounces of white vinegar to boot (the vinegar does an excellent job of removing detergent residue).

After draining the sink, I pressed down on the pad a few times to remove excess water, and then I rolled the pad up tightly into a clean, dry, terry towel to remove as much water as possible...then set the pad out to dry overnight.

I think the reason Meguiar's doesn't recommend washing their older pads is because the older pads have poor velcro adhesion. With that in mind, devise a strategy to safely wash those 1.0 pads.
