    I now remember some of the Porter-Cable's, identical to G100s, that came from Lowe's with an extra weight.

      I aslo bought a power tool from them a long time ago and the box basically showed up just like yours (wasn't very happy when it showed up) and the cardboard inserts to help position it inside were flattened). They should of packed it inside another box with packing peanuts or at least open the box and wrap it in some bubble wrap to help prevent any damage. It seems like they are cutting corners on shipping and in the long run it will save them from incidents like this.

          You would think they could ship it in a larger box to offer more protection. Hope you get everything straightened out with your new tool. Good luck, enjoy it.

                wowow bro that box is broken into pieces!!! i got mine yest and it was perfectly mint. but i did order from detailedimage.com

                did you also install the small washer that is in the bag with the wrench! i was told it was really important to put that under a backing plate!

                      yes, all my BPs have the washers on them. I keep everything together and as neat as possible. I hate losing things! I dont use the polishing pad that came with it either.

                            My XP will be delivered to me next week! I've also got a bunch of Lake Country pads coming with it.

                            Does anybody you know use the pad the the PC comes with for anything at all? Or is is it just a paper weight?

                              If it's the white pad I've heard so much about, then most folks use them as Frisbees. Maybe you could polish the glass with it?

                                That would be the one!

                                I'm curious to see in the PC manual what is suggests doing with that pad. All I know is that it ain't gonna be touching MY paint. I never really had any intentions of using it for anything...not even as a frisbee hahah.

                                I'm not gonna throw it out...right now anyway. We'll see.
