What pad should I use when applying M105 and M205?

    Re: What pad to use?

It will depend on what you are trying to accomplish ?

Lets assume you are working by machine(s).....Since M105 is used to remove defects, it should/could be used with primarilly the following...

Rotary Buffer - Our cutting and/or polishing pads

D/A Polisher - Our polishing pads

M205 is used to remove swirls and create high gloss, it should/could be used primarilly with the following...

Rotary Buffer - Our polishing and/or finishing pads

D/A Polisher - Our polishing and/or finishing pads

Keep in mind, pads are just one element that can adjust the total "cutting/swirl removal" power of what you are doing...So when you use different pads with different products, you can/will get different results. That gives you the freedom to work successfully in many different situations.

      I have a Flex 3401

With M105 I have had good success with a LC white pad.

I've also used a LC orange pad but found the white provides plenty of cutting power.
