I want to do my car the right way. I already washed and clayed it today and want to do the rest tommorrow. I have a good amount of scratches and swirls. I have scratch x 2.0, deep crystal system polish, and tech wax 2.0. Should i use the polishing pads for the scratch x and the polish, or should i use the finishing pads. I kinda think the finishing pad is for wax because you know you finish the car with wax is that true and can i use it with tech wax.

Re: i have a question on what pads to use with my DA
Use the polishing pad for ScratchX 2.0.
Just so you know, Deep Crystal Polish is a pure polish, and does not have any cut in it at all.Nick

Re: i have a question on what pads to use with my DA
You already have the car washed and clayed.
Next would be the scratch X on the polishing pad. (if the scratch X is not enough cut then you should try Meguiars Ultimate Compound as it is slightly more aggressive)
Next you could use the polish and apply it using the finishing pad.
You could then apply the wax (after cleaning the finishing pad) with a finishing pad.
You should see some pretty good results!

Pure Polishes, and Wax. Correct?Originally posted by Bounty View PostYup...
For example, I almost always finish with my rotary, a W9207 black 2.0 finishing pad, and M205.

For example, I almost always finish with my rotary, a W9207 black 2.0 finishing pad, and M205.....definitely machine dependent. I happened to know he has a G110 and was referring to it in that context but a finishing pad on a Flex or a rotary definitely has more punch.
