i have a scooter that i painted a few pieces of and i taped off what i didnt want sprayed...well i didnt tape enough off apparently
. it has been on there for a few months probably, just noticed it yesterday. since it is a scooter (yamaha vino 125) i am thinking that it is not a clear coat style paint job and was just wondering what the best way to get the paint off would be? i was going to detail it tomorrow since i dont go in until late in the afternoon. at first i thought about wet sanding, but would rather not try that unless it is needed. is there a chemical to use to get the paint off that wont harm the "real" paint on the scooter? if wet sanding is needed, i have up to 2000 grit and then i have my PC and m105, would that take the sanding marks out? i also have some 3M rubbing compound that i have used in the past that takes sanding marks out pretty good from spray painted things, but not sure how it works with other paints that are possibly harder than just spray paint....any tips? thanks!
