G110 Warranty?

So I've been seeing two different things. One, that the G110 has a 1 year warranty. I can get it as cheap at $120 w/ a 1 year, etc.

Yet, I have also heard of a lifetime warranty only if the G110 is purchased through Meguiars direct. Can anybody shed some light on this because the Meguiars website to purchase the G110 doesn't mention ANYTHING about a warranty at all. Thanks!!

I was always told the G110 has the 1-year warranty and the older G100 came with the lifetime warranty. When I purchased my G110 thru Autogeek I received a 1-year warranty. Have you called Meguiar's Customer Support directly to find out?

Nope, I haven't. I was hoping to see something in print so that if I had to claim a warranty issue in 10 years, I wasn't saying "Well the guy on the phone told me so".

Also, mods, perhaps this would be better served in the Customer Service forum. Sorry.

10 years? Definitely a forward thinker for a $100 product that'll probably be worth $20 then. But I digress. If you purchase a G110 from Meguiar's direct and they claim on the phone you have a lifetime warranty then your warranty paperwork in the box would state so. Mine came with a 1-year warranty as stated in the documentation included with my orbital polisher. I'd contact them directly via telephone at their Customer Service number. If they tell you over the phone that they have a lifetime warranty then have them fax, email, or snail mail you a copy of this warranty information and double-check it with the warranty card in the box.

Even if someone posts here that it does carry a lifetime warranty it's just an internet forum post that carries little weight. Get them on the phone, get the information in writing, and save your warranty card when you get the machine.

The G110 comes with a limited 1-year warranty.

There was a version of the G100 that came with a lifetime warranty but we did not continue that program when we introduced the G110 and the G220

I think a lifetime warranty is a bit excessive,but a 2 year,would be more apt as opposed to just one.Mind you the amount of hard work they go through,especially with the amount of today's enthusiasts!

Well, I guess that guy over the phone didn't really know what he was talking about haha. I did end up calling and when I told him I was considering the G110 that I had heard one advantage it has over the PC 7424 was that it had a lifetime warranty. He said only if it was purchased through Meguiars direct. I was like ok, and hung up.

But, I guess if an administrator is telling me it's 1 year, then that's that. No reason to spend $163 + 16.30 shipping when I can get it online elsewhere for $119.99 especially when they both only come with a 1 year warranty. Thanks all!

Sorry for any confusion. Mike and Bounty are absolutely correct. Our G110 comes with a 1 year warranty. We routinely have customers contacting us confused by the fact that the old G100 came with a lifetime warranty. That one digit has really made things confusing. Especially on MOL where both are referenced so often in new and older threads.

Hey, no harm, no foul. Just glad I asked the question and got the answer from the right people. I'm definitely going with the G110, I just wanted to make sure I got the best deal possible Welp, off to froogle some more to see what kinda deal I can get Thanks again guys!

Yeah, sorry, I meant $129.99 shipped. Typo. But yeah, the G110 with the backing plate, carry case, etc. So far it's about the best deal I've come by, but I've got a few more coupon sites I have yet to check.
