  • ColorX with a DA polisher?

    Hey guys,

I searched but could not find the bext answer for my question...

Can ColorX be used with a DA polisher? maybe a white pad?

Im also assuming this fits in after claying and possibly after SwirlX.... then follow with wax?

My friend has a new G35 that has what appears to be two different colors on a door panel. Im hoping ColorX will help.

ColorX is a cleaner/polish, as is SwirlX so you would want to use one or the the other (SwirlX is more aggressive than ColorX). Follow up that application with a sealant wax like NXT 2.0 and then you can top that off with an LSP like a carnauba wax or a glaze to add depth and gloss. And I think the answer is yes for using ColorX with a DA.

You can certainly use ColorX with a DA. To maximize its cleaning properties, use a yellow polishing pad at speed 5; to minimize its cleaning properties, switch to the black finishing pad and slow down the speed to 4 or 3 (see Mike Phillips's comments in this thread; also see this article). As with any other wax, allow to haze and then wipe off with a clean microfiber towel.

ColorX is a mild cleaner wax but is a very good product for well....mild swirls and blemishes.

Not knowing what colors go with what pads (Lake Country or???).

Try it with a finishing pad and if that don't do it, then try with a polishing pad if your going to run with least aggressive first .

ColorX doesn't touch what is needed for our Neon, but for our Yukon, it works swell if I do step 5 like I'm supposed to.
