  • What do you guys do about the A pillar

What do you guys do about the A pillars and other narrow spots on a vehicle. I'm buffing out a 95 suburban if it helps to know the vehicle in question. It took me a while to figure out the DA and how to keep the holograms under control, but now I'm loving it!

4" Lake Country CCS pads are valuable here on the pillars. They also make a backing plate for the smaller pads on the DA. Unfortunately, Meguiar's does not make 3" or 4" pads, so we are stuck buying our products from another source You can do it with the larger 6.5 pads(I've done it many, many times), but it is difficult to get perfect results.

I use the 4" CCS "Spot Buff" pads to get the A-pillars, around the rear deck lids or trunks of vehicles, around emblems or weird body contours, etc.

I also have an assortment of foam applicators from CCS for hand application in areas like under door handles, under the wing, etc. Now that I'm moving to a Flex I don't have the 4" pad option so the hand buffing and careful use of the Flex would be my only options (unless I buy another PC).

You could always do the A pillar by hand.

I also use the Lake Country 4" CCS pads and backing plate on A pillars, makes easy work of the A pillars and other tight areas.
