So disappointed !!!! I read tons of reliability complaints about the G220 on European sites but I thought "heck, it must be with the 220v model, mine goes like a charm" well after maybe 40 hours of use ( never more than a couple of hours at a time ) it died on me !!! I had just finished a first pass on the car's roof and when I changed pads and tried to restart it I wasn't able to.
Tapped the casing once with the palm of my hand, it started again, while it was running it was running great, but it doesn't restart anymore... Probably a brush problem... Is there a starter on an electric AC motor ???
I've always took great care of my tools, they're always stored in a cupboard, dust free, humidity free, moderate temperature, etc etc etc...
I love this little DA polisher but I'm a bit disappointed in the reliability of the product to say the least. I'll have to take it to a specialized shop to get it fixed. Starting to think that I should've gone with a Flex DA... They seemed sturdier...
