hey felas, i heard a lot of good things about the new flex xc3401vrg, it seems to be much more powerfull than a DA without the "dangerours" factor of the rotarys.
I have one I purchased recently. I was able to use in on my '95 Range Rover. I was very impressed with the results. I have a G100 and a rotary and it is a nice mix of the two. There's no danger of burning through the paint or doing other damage like the rotary can in the hands of the inexperienced. I definitely should have bought the Flex a long time ago.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
Id love to pick one up. Especially if its more powerful than the PC and G110. It seems my PC gets bogged down when it comes to the new 2.0 pads. :\
Just wish it wasn't so expensive.
I like having that tool in my bag for the occasional odd paint job. It can be a time saver in some situations (ie paints that are too hard for a combo on the DA, and hologram with a rotary).

There is a good point. I have two of everything, I should have just kept it.
I've got one and love it. The Flex is an all-in-one tool that takes the best attributes of a rotary and a traditional DA and combines them in one powerful tool. I was constantly pushing the limits of my G100 and it never had the necessary torque for hard paints. The G110 has slightly increased torque over the G100/PC, but it doesn't even come close to bridging the gap between a DA and rotary. The rotary is an incredible tool.....in experienced hands. Otherwise, it can be flat out dangerous for many people. I'm not a professional, and personally, I would never risk using a rotary on a car worth $50,000+.
That's where the Flex comes in. Unlike a G100/G110, the Flex has forced rotation so it can never be bogged down like a G100/G110. Personally, I have yet to encounter a paint job that the Flex can't handle. On a finish where it might take 2-3 applications of M105 with a G100/G110 to eliminate all swirls and scratches, the Flex will do the same job in one application.
The only downside is the price, but your productivity will be increased tremendously that it will pay for itself. Remember, since it does have forced rotation, the risk of burning a soft paint job is still there, although tremendously reduced due to its orbital movement.
I have to say get the flex. I have a rotary and a PC. Just picked up the Flex, and went after some scratches that I couldn't get with the PC, and the Flex, some 205, and a light cutting pad, they were gone. I have to say the flex seems to vibrate a lot less with the bigger pads then the PC. I have relegated the PC to carpet duty.
I have terrible carpel tunnel syndrome, and my hands don't hurt near as much after using the flex all day than the PC.... Less Vibration
