Mine are still going strong at the moment. Its been about 6 full corrections lasting 10 hours of polishing each. I have back up Uber and UK 3M pads just in case they fail, but it doesn't seem like it will anytime soon...
Not just plugging for Meg's because I "work" (Not an employee, no paycheck btw) for them, but I absolutely notice that Meguiar's pads last substantially longer than the Lake Country pads.
Some Lake Country pads have even bit the dust after a single car (several time).
I've had one old school SOLO pad separate with the backing plate, but never had a single Meguiar's pad have the foam fail like the LC stuff does to me on a regular basis.

1. Are these pads washable if so how?
2. Does a meguiars backing plate and 2.0 pads work with a PC?
Thanks in advance,
Anthony
Lake Country pads are not machine washable- you must do it by hand with soap.
I do not know if the G110 backing plate fits the PC 7424... but I would *think* it does. I do know that the Meguiar's 2.0 pads will work with a Dual Action buffer, though.

Yes, the W-67DA backing plate that comes with the G-110 will fit the PC as well. In fact, I use the W-67DA backing plate on my G110's, G100's and my 7424 and 7336 Porter Cable polishers.
The W67DA backing plate is smaller than the indentation of the 2.0 pads so I don't like it but await the arrival of the new backing plate so I can center them to perfection!
Tim, do you use the 2.0 pads with the W67DA with the G100? How do you like it? I thought they bogged down the G100 more, but I haven't had great time to try yet, the little bit I did, it slowed it down a little more, or seemed like it

Good to know.
I lent my G100 to a friend and haven't seen it since I got the G110 to try that out.

Hey Aaron,
The W-67DA plate works just fine with the new 2.0 pads. In fact on the pad's mounting surface, there is a little white border that surrounds the velcro surface. If you line up the backing plate with this little white border, the pads are centered perfectly every time!
The larger pads (0.5" bigger than the W-X006 series) really makes little difference in the power of the G-110, at least not that I have noticed. Actually having that extra over-hang has come in very handy on certain curvatures on cars/trucks I could not have achieved as easily before! If you look at my Soft Buff 2.0 review, I posted pictures of the pad flexing into a groove.
The biggest problem is that too many are trying to use the G-110 for more than it is really capable of, and are pushing down way too hard etc expecting it to remove deep scratches etc. With some of the newest technology, there are products that do make the DA a much more proficient tool, I still believe that there is the right tool for the job.

Mark Mark Mark...never lend tools to friends, especially a G100 or G110 because as soon as they use it, they will see what they have been missing; and then you see what is missing....your buffer!

Haha, lesson learned! I haven't seen that G100 in months!
