    Re: Purchasing G110

i am also thinking about getting a G110. It sounds pretty good, cant do a whole lot of damage?

Do I need to worry about holograms and all the effects I would get if I didnt know how to run it the correct way the first time?

For the product usage, I was going to go with the UC and SwirlX Is that a good combo with the DA?

How many pads would you suggest getting? The car isnt bad, just some light swirls nothing much of a defect in the paint besides that. I would also get pads for polish and wax. All these pads are going to used to apply the product. What do u use to take it off with. Im sure I will go over it with a MF anyway to make sure I got everything

If I can use a G110 without damaging my car, ANYBODY can!

      No.

      Yes.

I would get a minimum of four polishing pads and two finishing pads.

Polishes are best removed with good microfiber towels--the Supreme Shine towels work well. Some folks like to remove wax with their G110. If you want to do this, you will need to get a cutting pad and a couple of microfiber bonnets to go over the pad. I prefer to remove wax with a microfiber towel--both the Supreme Shine and the Ultimate Wipe towels work well for the removal of wax.

Meguiar's does not presently recommend the use of the cutting pad with the G110 because of the danger of marring the paint due to the oscillating motion of the polisher (see this comment by Mike P.). I know that some experienced detailers do use the cutting pad with the G110, but they also know how to remove any marring that might occur.

The G110 has a one-year warranty. The G100, on the other hand, has a life-time warranty.

Why would one be life time and the other one isnt.. whats the difference.. The g110 is the newer on the one isnt it?

                  Re: Purchasing G110

from what i know if you purchase thru meguiarsdirect, you get the lifetime warranty, if you purchase from anywhere else youll receive the standard 1 year warranty. i purchased mine from ADS and got the 1 yr with the g110.. maybe cause the g100 is older so you only get the 1 yr... either way if it does wonders within that year and then dies after, it will still be worth it for me...

I love my g110.. noticed it was a little hard to work the foam pad and the m105, but reading how i need to "prime" my pads or work in the product into the pad a little more then catching the bead on the paint should work better. i noticed after a 20 seconds or so it was drying up on me and was harder to remove. so i started misting it with some water and it helped. just got to find that right technique. also still having mad foam dust coming off.. even the slightest tilt the foam starts to dust.. i dont know.. maybe i need more product on the foam to keep it wet and together
