How is the Bosch PEX400AE for car polishing ?
Can i use it with scratch x for removing cowebs etc.

Is it a good machine or should I go for a cheaper cyclo clone instead

I own a Bosch PEX400AE which I recently purchased for doing some renovations around the home. Having read the threads suggested by Mike above, I have a few questions.

Can I attached the polishing pads directly onto the sanding plate that comes with the machine or do I need a saperate polishing plate?

Can the W68DA DA backing plate be fitted to the bosch (I can't find anything on the thread size that it uses)?

I've been using the bosch primarily for sanding walls, floors and furniture around the house. I've seen some coments about the risk of dust transferring from the sander onto the paint work and to therefore use another machine. Is this just being overly cautious or is there real risk of this occurring?
