  • Difference in pads

I have a question regarding the soft buff pads for the G110. I have a local retailer where I purchased my G110 with a W8006 and W9006 pads. But included with the purchase were three pads for free. They are:

    -W8207
    -W9207
    -W7006

What products would be used on these pads? I have yet to use them. The W7006 says it's a cutting pad, but what exactly would I put on it? Are the W8207 and W9207 any different than the W8006 and W9006 pads?

    Any info is appreciated. Thanks

    Re: Difference in pads

Generally this is how the pads would be broken down. Although some products can be used with a couple different pads, there is a set norm.

W8207 Polishing Pad - For removing defects using a paint cleaner or compound. A example would be M105, M80, M83, etc.

W9207 Finishing Pad - For applying waxes and pure polishes (#7 for example).

W7006 Cutting Pad - For severe defect remove, this pad is not meant for the DA (at least not the W7006). You will find people using this pad with a rotary and a compound most often.

    Hope that clears it up!
