White Polish Pad with 6" balancing plate

I have a PC 7424 and I believe it came with the 5" counterweight and a white polishing pad.

I have ordered a 6" counterweight along with a larger backing plate and buffing pads.

My question is once I install the 6" counterweight can I use the original white polishing pad with it or will I have to swap back to the 5" counterweight.

I don't think it will make a noticeable difference but if it does you should come back and share that in detail...

Most people don't find the forum formula used to make the pad included with the Porter Cable are super compatible with paint, most delegate them to some other function. Try it though... see for yourself.
