  • Should I use the Maroon Cutting Pad with M105 or M83?

For some reason I thought I read on this forum a while back that you shouldn't use the cutting pad with the DA. Am I correct about that or no? I see a lot of people talking about using their cutting pads with m105 and m83 to remove deeper scratches and defects. So what's the deal should I or should I not use the cutting pad with these products when using the DA polisher?

The cuttingpad is not designed to use in combination with a DA.
You will need a rotarybuffer to use a cuttingpad because a DA isnt powerful enough, used on a DA it will leave marring on the paint!

Actually, the new W7207 Cutting pad is approved for use with the DA. The W7207 pad uses a different foam that's smoother than the W7006 pad.

That being said, M105 is still not approved for the DA, but M83 is just fine.

I have seen the results of the W7207 and #83. It looked great and with just a pass or two of #80 with a W8207 it was ready to go.
