  • Does G110 need to be plugged in or can I charge?

My apartment complex is tricky. The garage my car is in has no electrical outlet in sight. Our building is up a short hill and stairway from the garage so you could say the nearest electrical outlet is too far. If the G110 requires a plug-in to run, could someone recommend me an alike product? I need to clean the paint followed by waxing but I literally don't have the energy in my body to stand there and do it by hand. After all the housework this weekend followed by a detail-oriented hand wash, I probably couldn't take 15 minutes of buffing before exhaustion took over. Nevertheless, I need to take out some contaminants from my paint job and need a buffer (without electricity).

G110 needs an AC outlet....... there is no portable version.....a battery operated buffer would run out of battery too fast and most likely not have enough power to do any paint correction

solution is to find a friends place that has a garage....

if all you want is take out contaminants then clay can do that.... if you are trying to take out swirls and scratchs then you would need the buffer

you can consider buying/renting a generator.... or maybe a high output 12v DC to AC converter....

How about this. Do you have a electric garage door opener? If so, plug the opener into a cube tap. Run your extension cord from another outlet on the cube tap. Now what I did is run a multi outlet surge suppressor at the end of the extension cord. This gives me multiple outlets. I have my radio, fans, G100, etc all at my disposal. Hope this helps.

In one of my past apartments I used one of those adapters you screw into the light socket. Worked good.

If you are not doing any paint correction, there are cordless polishers that work fine for applying waxes/sealants. I have two; a Craftsman 10" Random Orbital and a Wen 4" random orbital. This is in conjunction to the Cyclo polisher knockoff I have (will by the real thing soon). An added benefit is that the WEN cordless uses similar 4" pads as the Cyclo so I can do some paint correction in smaller areas. I have able to fully wax my vehicle with both cordless polishers ( the Wen came with two batteries and the Craftsman also included a 12V plug)

Thanks guys, but if I spent the money on a buffer of any kind, I'd also want the paint correction options a G110 would give you. I'm stuck in CT for 1 year and these garages were probably made pre-garage door opener. You open it by hand, no electricity. Maybe I'll just go 12 months without it. Then when I get back to Phoenix, AZ there will be twice the reason to get one. Thanks again
