My G110 is on order! I'll apply the wax/polish with the foam pad but...what's the preferred method to remove the product? I also ordered some microfiber bonnets. Should I put a dry pad on the machine and then a bonnet over it to remove the wax? I have plenty of terry bonnets leftover from past orbital machine use. Can I put them over a dry pad for wax removal?

Re: Best way to remove wax using G110
Microfiber bonnet over the a dry maroon cutting pad is the preferred method. I've never tried them over the other pads so I can't speak on if that will work well or not. You will want to test the terry bonnets first, I think those are going to cause swirls.Scott

For removal of a paint cleaner/cleaner polish it is best to use either a 100% cotton terry towel or a micro fiber towel. Using a bonnet on a g-110 will only cost time between switching pads and the fact that the bonnet will load up with used product very quickly. Removing your choice of wax/sealant with the g-110 is best accomplished using a 7006 pad and a micro fiber bonnet over the pad. turn the machine on to 4 or 5 and go over the vehicle. Your old terry bonnets may or may not work. The may be to big for the pads that you bought with the g-110. they may also cauce micro marring to the paint due to the fact that the orbit you just bought is more powerfull than the other orbital you are talking about(something like a craftsman which is only good for aplling product not paint correction).

First... moving this to the The Dual Action Polisher forum as the "How To Articles" is a place for Meguiar's generated how to articles and not questions.
Second, the way you remove wax using a DA Polisher is you use a foam cutting pad as you want the extra stiffness of the foam under your microfiber bonnet.
Next you turn the speed setting to 5.0 as you want the higher speeds for removing wax.
Next you place the face of the microfiber bonnet covered pad against the waxed paint and then turn it on and start moving the bonnet covered pad over the surface and you'll see the wax coming off.
Don't turn the polisher on until the face of the bonnet/foam pad is in contact with the surface or the pad will go flying off.
Don't lift it off the car until you've turned it off and the spinning has slowed down or the pad will go flying off.
Reverse the bonnet as needed. Switch to a clean bonnet as needed.
Tomorrow we'll take a picture of a little technique that will help you when removing wax by machine.

Everything I was using was brand new so this makes me wonder what did I do wrong? What can I do in the future to prevent this?
