And that very well may be the case as many people use products in way that they were not intended and have success.
However, when Meguiar's makes a recommendation, it is based on overall success for the user. Meaning while M105 and M95 may work for you and others with the DA on certain paints, it may not work in all cases when used with the DA. Meguiar's wants to make sure their product does as it is intended to do, and to do so means that it has been tested and the overall recommendations made.
What this also means is that when someone comes on to Meguiar's Online they are looking for accurate and factual information on Meguiar's products. Using M95 or M105 for example with a DA may haze the finish to the point where a rotary and someone skilled in using it may be required to restore the gloss. On the paints you have used it on, that may have not been the case, but it can happen on other paints. Meguiar's only makes recommendations after extensive testing has been completed.
