  • #7 before NXT on PC?

Hi guys... it's been a long time, but stuff had come up and I havent been able to spend any time on detailing...

    Can someone please remind me:

Is there any point to do #7 by hand before doing NXT Wax with a PC on speed 3?

Is that the right process? Is there any change if instead I want to apply #21?

    Thanks again

edit for clarity: what i mean is with the cleaning power of NXT, will it just strip the #7? btw the car is gray

Yes this is the correct process, you want to seal those oils that you are adding so they can last a little bit more. You can perfectly do M07 by hand and top it with NXT on the PC.

The point of using a pure polish is to add beauty, reflectivity and gloss making the paint look wet and deep. You are basically adding oils (resins) and replacing the ones that are already present that have deteriorate over time and filling the imperfection for a more uniform look
