  • I've let it go :-(

Well I have not gotten to the car with so much going on in life. I was about to get married, buy an apartment, etc. But it all just ended after 5 years. But that's another story for another day.

I will be making the hike to a Car gathering in Gatlinburg, TN in a few weeks and have my tools ready.

I want to get my paint back big time, and I am using the #83, #80, and NXT combos. Question is, after almost a year of no detail work is #83 on an 8006 pad ok or would it be wise to switch to a 7006 pad using the same 5 speed setting?

    Suggestions?

#83 and an 8006 pad is still the strongest combo recomended for the G100.

Try the test spot. If you do all the steps, it should be just fine. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear about the difficulties in your personal life, but fortunately for you you have a great hobby to fall back on. Time spent detailing a car can be almost like therapy.

As for M83 getting the job done, you never know what's going to happen with the finish until you give it a shot. Definitely give the car a good wash and dry, then clay it. Do a test spot with M80/W8006 first and see how that goes. If the paint is easy to work then this combo may well get the job done. If not, then you can step up to M83.

Of course, with today's introduction of our new W7207 - Soft Buff 2.0 Foam Cutting Pad you now have the option of stepping up to a cutting pad with the G110 if need be. Just think, you could be the first kid on your block with this new toy!

Start with #80 and see how it does, if you need a more aggressive product then #83 will be in hand

I've had limited exposure to it but used it this weekend on my black car and have to say I love the new Reconditioning Cream..#151...you can work it lots longer than #83 and it wipes off easier than anything I've ever used....just another thought.
