  • about to buy G110.Help with pads etc

So I m thinking of buying the DA as i am a newbie and i am sure i cant handle the rotary.

I have some questions regarding application pads and products that i can use.

1st, i am using the Deep Crystal cleaning and polishing followed by the gold class wax. What pads should i use for each application?
My car is in a very good condition so i dont need anything too aggressive.

2nd i have been using synthetic chamois for a long time.I am thinking of changing to Soft Touch and Water Magnet. When i touched the Water Magnet it seemed to me not that soft and something that would definitely put swirls on my paint over a long period. But maybe it softens when it gets wet?
I know i might be asking a lot but i want to make that step forward for my detailing as i really really enjoy it.
Thakns in advance for any answers...

If all you need are enough pads to do your own vehicle I would order the 6 pad special from here: http://autodetailingsolutions.com/Meguiar's%20Foam%20Pad%20Specials.htm

You want 3 each of the 8006/9006 types of pads. I would recommend also picking up some M80 (http://autodetailingsolutions.com/me...peed-glaze.htm).

For the DC1 Paint Cleaner and M80 (or any paint cleaner) use the yellow 8006 pad on speed 4/5. Use the 9006 pad for your DC2 Polish and waxes. All products should be applied on a different pad.

Do some searching, digging and reading lots of good stuff around here with regards to using a PC. Good luck.

Just wanted to point that out as we try our best to give people timely answers but not at the beginning of a traditional American Holiday Weekend.

Forums were never intended to be instantaneous either... just to point out...

As for the pads you'll need for a DA Polisher, you can never have too many W-8006 Foam Polishing pads for removing defects. For applying the Gold Class wax you only need one W-9006 Foam Finishing pad.

How many polishing pads you need and want depends upon the condition of your car's paint and what you're trying to do with it. If you have a lot of swirls you're trying to remove then you'll want 3-5 pads and you'll probably want to switch to a swirl remover in our Professional Line instead of the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner which is the lightest paint cleaner we offer in our entire line.

If you paint is in great condition then stick with the DCPC and you really only need one, two maybe three pads.

            What are you working on?
What are you trying to accomplish?

Yes as you said my paint is not in a bad condition at all.Thats why i am going to use Deep Crystal system and not something off the pro line. Not necessary.
I am working on a Carbon Black BMW and i want to eliminate every defect to get a shiny and wet look.
