I think there is a backing plate in the G110 kit so I don't really see the need to have 2. Also I would recomend the training DVD Mike did.

Yes, the G110 comes with a backing plate.

You said you just want to apply your LSP and do some paint correction, but it seems you have an awful lot of pads in that order - you'll end up with 8 of the 8006 Polishing Pads. You don't show any chemicals in your list, what chemicals do you plan on using? M80? M83?

As for cleaning the pads, we don't recommend washing them at this time. Just dedicate a pad for each chemical and clean them on the fly as you work - very firmly press a clean terry cloth towel against the pad while it's on the G110 and switch the machine on. This will force excess product out of the pad and into the towel. Do this often while working on the vehicle, and one last time when you're finished, then just put the pad away in an area free from dust.

Definately the DVD....

Always more towels, cloths... Really only need 1 7006 pad, if you wanted to get a case of 1,2,3, instead of 2,2,2.

I have all of the w8006 pads because there is a post stating that I needed to have 1 pad per each product plus a back up. I thought that would mean for sealant, wax, glaze, paint cleaner. I do have to order the 83 80 66 and 82 but I think i'm going to get the smaller bottles starting out. If that's a bad idea let me know. As far as the towels go, I have been collecting those over the last few months. I"m probaly up to 8 of the mg gold color microfiber and 7 of the mg white plush terry cloths. I also have some smaller 3m microfiber cloths and advanced auto terry cloths.

If you are just working on family cars, you will likely want more #80 than #83. Also, the new #151 seems very interesting, could go with that or #66. The #82 isnt really needed if you like #7.

As far as the pads... the #8006 are for cleaners and cleaner/polishes. The #9006 for waxes/sealants.

If it was me, and I didnt want to have to try to wash out pads, I would just stick with #80/#83, and not bother using the DC1/ScratchX with the G100.

Also, you will get more cleaning ability if needed by using one pad for half the car, one pad for the other half. Or even more on a real bad car. So having some 8006's around isnt a bad thing, but might want to see how you plan to use them.

Oh and you are right I do have to get the video. Someone put some nice scratches in my car yesterday. I could see if it was a beater but you can tell I try to keep the car looking good. Daily drivers are the target of evil people. lol. I don't know but it will give me something to work on instead of insurance. I know pics..I wll do another post for that issue. Have to keep on topic.

I hadn't thought about switching the pads out on a single car. That sounds like a great idea. I haven't used any of the 80 or 83. As far as the cars, it will probably be family but I am in a car club and may try to pick up some of the member's rides. I do have one mercedes that i have too do. I'm not sure if I will try the machine on that one since it's brand new. I also wanted to try the scratch x out by machine because using my hand is not cutting it. Oh and the reason I have some many pads is because they have them for almost $9 dollars instead of $13 or so dollars. I figured I would take the deal before they end it.

Oh and my end goal is to use a rotory as well as the DA when needed. I ordered the rotory but I cancel since I can put the DA to use right now and practice with the rotory for later applications.

D151 is the Paint Reconditioning Cream.

If the car is in good shape, you dont really need to switch them out, but if you need the cleaning ability, it helps.

You can use ScratchX by machine, if you want to try it, go for it.
