#80 and my swirls

I have made a few attempts at getting rid of my swirls on a black car using #80. I was running the pc at around 4.5 speed (between 4 and 5)and using 8006 pad. I think it is only a very slight improvement. I just saw on Mike's speed and pad sticky that the speed recommended is 3-5. Should I retry getting rid of the swirls again with #80 bumped on up to the speed of 5 or is that extra bit of speed going to make much of a difference? I have some #83ordered but knowing it is hard to work with and harsher on the paint I am willing for any suggestions.

Paint has been kept in good (clayed,polished and waxed) condition other than the swirls.

Give it another try on speed 5, and try to put a little extra pressure to the machine, not to much that the rotation movement would stop. Multiple passes can occur, I mean, that you can try 1, 2 or 3 passes and evaluate the finish
