  • DA vs Rotary

    Guys,
Met a guy recently who is a pro detailer and showed me what a rotary can do. He said that basically they can both do the same thing just the DA will take longer but is safer.

He also said that to get the same cutting ability on a DA as Rotary you tend need to use a more agrasive combo on the DA. For example to achieve the same cutting as using #83 with a cutting pad on a rotary, you will need to use #85 with a cutting pad on a DA.

Whats peoples thoughs on this ?

Don't really have any thoughs on this but here are some thoughts on this...

He needs to spend some time on this forum to get his information more accurate. We don't recommend using either M84 or M85 with a DA polisher, the are only for rotary buffers.

Everyone and their brother is always wanting to get more aggressive with the DA polisher and the effect this has is to scour the paint and leave it dull and hazy, we call this working backwards.

Check out the links Matt posted.
