Re: Just got my X-MAS gift
All i did with the flex so far is apply #21 and remove it with a bonnet...i gotta say even just applying and removing a sealant seemed to be much quicker than a p/c...I cant wait to do some polishing with it.I will post up some pics once i find a nice guinea pig to test it out on..

Oh, and if this idea ever shows up as a Pixar Animated Film just remember, you heard about it here first.Michael Stoops

Re: Just got my X-MAS gift
Guess what i got in my mailbox yesterday?
The same maschine
Sunday this week i`m gonna do a Audi 100 92-93 mod for a friend for free, just to test the maschine. The car is a blue ss paint with NO reflections what so ever,so this is gonna be a fun weekend.Detailing cars is a form of art. Most appreciate it, few possess the required skill and even fewer understand it.

Re: Just got my X-MAS gift
RZ,
your going to love polishing with this machine, it's definitely a great tool to have, fit's nicely in between a rotary and a PC. I have a Dodge Stealth to do this weekend that I will do before and afters on, it belongs to Navy Soldier who's on a short leave back from IRAQ and they left his car parked under tree's for six months. I've never seen sap like this before and it definitely is full of cobweb swirls. I was thinking after getting the sap off, using the rotary with a solo LC wool pad with 105, and then following that with 80 or 82 on the Flex for a final polish. I may even play with 105 on the flex and see how it responds. I will do a write up on it, but back on topic, the only drawback I see with this machine is the price.

[QUOTE=Mike-in-Orange;188446]Yeah.......um......I think animal testing with that thing will get you in serious trouble with PETA. You might want to test it out on a car. Or truck. A boat even. But a small furry rodent? Gee, not a good idea. Hard to get a real good gloss on all the fur anyway and if you catch the fur just right while the machine is spinning it'll fling the little guy so far away you might not find him again.
Mike-in-Orange you are too funny.

I was scrubbing that splat from wall down for next two hours.
