Meg's W67 DA is the same size as the W64DA. It is a rubberized version that holds up extremely well (though I am not allowed to mention that I have one )

They are the same size and fit as the older plate. As far as the counter weight, I think you may a little confused in terminology. When using the G100, 7424, 7336, 7335, you must use a counter weight that comes already factory mounted on the polisher. The G100 and 7424 have a 5" counter weight and the 7336 has a 6" counter weight. However, with that said, I have not seen a difference in vibration when using either counter weight.

        I hope that helps!

Thanks! Yeah I was a little confused with the counter weight thing.

Also what size backing is the new W67DA? I couldn't find much...

The W67DA is the same size as the W64DA...5" diameter designed for 6.5" pads, and has a 5/16"-24 spindle (normal size used in the industry).

              Awesome, thanks.

Also, how does the W67DA, or even the W64DA, compare to a "flexible" backing plate?

The new W67 is rubberized and is therefore flexible, but not too much and is just about right in my opinion.

The PC7424, the PC7336, and the Meguiar's G100 are all the same tool except there is a different counterweight for the PC models.

Just in case anyone reading this didn't know, this tool was/is originally made for sanding and instead of a thick foam pad being placed on the backing plate a thin, skinny sheet of sanding paper went on the backing plate. Point being is there is no difference in performance when you're using this tool with a foam pad and the different counter-weights.

The entire counter-weight issue is an old urban legend started on other forums where no one is ever accountable for what's posted, therefore when bad information gets post and goes unchallenged it then becomes accepted as fact.

The counterweight issue is the least of anyone's worries, the area most people struggle with is in their technique.

I just want to add this. The size of the velcro is much smaller on the W67DA plate and more like the rotary velcro. This makes it easier to remove the pads.
