  • By getting a Buffer or G-100, Would this get better results?

By getting a G-100 or any kind of buffer would this improve results than doing it by hand? What would I have to be careful of with a G-100 or any buffer?

The G-100 is almost fool proof and the greatest risk of damage with one is dropping it on the car. It can do so much more work in a shorter period of time than you could ever do by hand. If you have the means I highly recommend it. From simply applying wax (nice, thin, uniform coating is a snap) to routine paint cleaning and removing those nasty swirl marks and mild to moderate etchings, it simply can not be beat.

Since it doesn't have the power of a high speed rotary it can't accomplish all that a rotary can, but it's also much safer because of it.

There isn't much you have to worry about if you are using a PC or orbital. You can leave some product in between the panel gaps or bump some trim, but that's about it.

Rotaries have plenty of risks - burning, swirling, holograms, splatter, etc.

A G-100 is not really in my price range right now, but I did find a buffer called a Vector at Costco that is 60.00 dollars. Is this a good one or should I just wait to get a G-100?

There is no comparison; the G100 is WAY better.

If you do choose to get an orbital, here's a bit of a guide:

The G100 is the way to go.

I've had it for a couple of years and I'm impressed each time I use it, very easy to use, hard to go wrong with and you'll definitely get better results with it than using your hand.

Here's a very good thread on this from the "Hot Topics" forum...

Will I notice a difference if I use the G-100
