I'm not sure if it's just my eyes playing tricks on me but I belive my g100 is not rotating while in use. I need to mark the pad so next time I can see if it is or is not. Could I possibly be applying to much pressure? It looks like it only spins with not pressure exept the weight of the machine. Without a scale how can I tell how much pressure is enough and not too much?

Here's you other thread:
G100 Not Rotating?
Not sure if you got back to it before the switch.

Re: G100 Not Rotating?
You can read the above link, surely it will help.
But could be a couple of factors like: too much pressure, the pad is very saturated, pad is not flat to the surface.
But I think you should read the above link, that will clarify everything.

Now before we go any further,
What speed are you testing the polisher on?
What product are you using when you're testing?
In order to have enough power for the pad to rotate you usually need to have the polisher on the 5.0 setting. It will rotate on other speed settings but it won't take much to stop the rotating action.
IF you don't hold the pad flat against the paint, in other words if you put more pressure on one side or the edge of the buffing pad this will stop the rotating action.
Simply put, it doesn't take much to stop the dual action polisher from rotating and as explained in the linked article this 'feature' is why the tool is safe and popular.

Re: G100 Not Rotating?
I was using it this past weekend and noticed this.
I was using it on #80 at 4.5
When I get time to do it again. I will mark the back definitely. I think I must be stalling it out. But as far as pressure all I do is enough to engage the pad a little01 Tacoma 4x4 X/C V6 Imperial Jade

M80 is a very slippery product, you should be able to mark your pad, apply some M80 to the face of the pad, place the speed setting on the 5.0 setting and then place the face of the pad onto the paint and turn it on and after spreading your product out over the area you're going to work, be able to apply anywhere from 10 to 20 pounds of pressure down onto the polisher and if you're holding the pad flat onto a flat surface, you should see the pad rotating.

I bought a pack of 2 or 3. Its a w8006 6.5
I had a W9006 but the velcro ripped off and the pad went flying the other day01 Tacoma 4x4 X/C V6 Imperial Jade

Re: G100 Not Rotating?
I suggest you put it on speed 5. It's surprising how much difference it makes. One time I accidentally left my G100 on speed 4 after applying wax and used #80 on speed 4. It kept on stopping spinning, and all over just not performing as well. Once I switched up to speed 5, it worked great (as usual).Lydia's Mobile Detailing

Anyways, that means you're to hard on it ..To much pressure is being applied it needs rotation let up on the machine, I believe only 15 (lbs) of pressure is required ...Joe's detailing (Since 2002)''We begin where the car wash Ends.''
