I polished my grandpa's car today and used M80. It was my first time polishing, but I watched Mike Phillip's video. I pulled the car out into the sun after polishing and the paint looked a lot better, but a lot of the swirls were still there and I left some light holograming. What do y'all think I did wrong?

Re: I made some light holograming, what did I do wrong?
im assuming that you are using the PC with a 8006 pad....see if they are residue rather than holograms...sometime they look similar from distance...residue just come off if you wipe off the product better or after you wash the car.... and for the swirls... just keep going at it until they are gone... it takes a bit of work.....

actually i think its pretty hard for the PC to make holograms..... if you followed the video and did not dry buff the finish.... i dont think you can make holograms with the pc....unless the pad was dirty.... if the holograms werent there before.... i think they are probably just residue.... go wash ur car and see if they still there after....

It sounds to me that you do have some left over product still on the paint.
Here are some holograms:
Due to the action of the PC, it is not possible to create holograms. However, you may find some micromarring under extreme sercumstances.Chris
