750+ watt power inverter for pc

hi..

i read the pc can be powered by a car battery using a 750+ watt power inverter...anyone know of this device?

will it work as well as using an outlet??

Don't know the specifics on the power needed but we once ran a rotary buffer through a power converter hooked up to a car batter on a Corvette at the Plastic Fantastic Corvette Show in San Diego. Actually used a cutting pad and M84 Compound Power Cleaner to compound the hood.

Don't remember the brand or type of power converter we used but it worked pretty well.
